This course aims at equipping students with the fundamental knowledge of USSD app development as well as provide real life example on how USSD apps can help us solve different problems in our society at a very cheap price. It involves creating a USSD application that will help a society find everyday services on their fingertips and will not have to struggle to find the service provider's contact detail. USSD applications are widely used in Africa as smartphones are not as widely used as in other continents. Thus, this course provides a way and a chance for innovation to still prevail and let you build for the greater population as USSD apps work on all phones whether a smartphone or not. The course can also be taken by developers as it allows for development of the USSD app that is API/database driven thus can have a single backend that interfaces with multiple platforms. This course does not cover the backend development that can allow for development to multiple platforms but rather gives fundamental knowledge on how you can kickstart your USSD application development journey and be relevant as there are not alot of USSD app developers out here.
