About the course content

In this course we will create a website based on a theme. I explain everything step by step so that you can understand every step and follow it immediately. You don't need a hosting provider or a domain at the beginning because we do the installation on the computer at the beginning. Towards the end, I'll show you how to move your localhost website to the server.

Contents of this course

• Install development environment: Install and set up Wordpress on the computer (localhost / free of charge)

• Set up the website using a free theme

• Download and install demo content from the theme

• Step by step navigation through the theme, create and edit pages and posts

• Install plugins (additional modules), edit widgets, create menu, set links, edit permalinks

• Create and adapt contact form, test it on the server

• Download and customize the backup plugin

• There are two parts to this course. The first part is about how to create a normal website and the second part is about how to create an online shop with WooCommerce
