The Business Law Basic Concepts course is the first part of the three that together form the Business Law for Business Managers series.

As a manager, you serve as a leader and as a representative for your organization. Accordingly, you are responsible for ensuring that your team functions smoothly and efficiently while also adhering to the company's standards. In order to be successful in this role, it is essential that you possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Additionally, you must be able to effectively delegate tasks and manage time effectively.

In order to maintain compliance with these laws, it is important that you take the necessary steps to ensure that both your department and employees are adhering to them. This includes staying up to date on any changes or amendments that may be made, as well as ensuring that everyone is aware of the importance of compliance. By taking these measures, you can help create a cohesive environment in which everyone is working together to uphold the law.

This course will introduce you to the different areas of business law. We will cover topics such as contracts, torts, agency, and intellectual property. You will learn about the different legal rules that apply to businesses and how to resolve disputes that may arise. This course will give you a solid foundation in business law so that you can be prepared for whatever legal challenges you may face in your career.

You'll also learn about the various types of managerial responsibilities and how they differ across departments. You'll also gain an understanding of how these responsibilities are typically allocated in organizations. By the end of this module, you should be able to describe the different types of managerial responsibilities and explain how they are typically allocated in organizations.
