Preparing for the First exam is a big job. A B2 level is a high level of English and Cambridge don't make the First exam easy. It's normal to say "I don't know what to do!" or ask big questions about your preparation, like "what should I do to improve my speaking?"

But it feels unfair when you don't have answers. Answers to your questions give you confidence that you're doing the right preparation. 

This course will guide you to do exactly that: the right preparation.

I think this course will help you if:

• you are preparing for the exam without a teacher (but maybe you have some course books and exam practice papers already)

This course is your guide to preparing the Cambridge B2: First exam. It's a library of videos that you can watch whenever you need. If you've got a question, a doubt, or you just don't know what to do for your preparation, then the answer could be in this course.

Have a look at some of the free videos and see if they will work for you. Try them for a week or so. See if it's a good fit.

There's a lot of videos in the course that I've made over the years. But it's not the answer to every question (it never could be!). The videos and activities here are my best answers to the most common and most important questions.

With this course, you can answer questions like:

• What's the best technique for the speaking exam?

• What do I do to improve my writing?

• What strategies and techniques should I use?

• How do I learn vocabulary?

I've based my answers on 7 years' teaching experience and the answers I've given to hundreds of exam students. Normally these are questions you need to ask a teacher. But I think that with the right attitude, knowledge, skills and habits, you can actually answer these questions for yourself and prepare yourself for the B2 exam. 

In this course you won't find simple answers - because they're not simple questions. There is no quick and easy way to prepare for Use of English, for example. But they are my most honest, genuine answers. These are the answers I think will really help you prepare your First exam.

Just to make your expectations really clear - do not expect to sit down, watch every video in this course, and instantly get your B2 certificate. If you follow my advice it will take work and time to get your B2 level, and improve your exam results. But you can get there!

DO expect to get the help of a professional teacher, a kind voice to explain tricky ideas and a guide to the practice that will help you be successful in the exam.

Basically, you bring the energy and I'll tell you how to spend it.
