Improve Your Parenting Skills

What You Will Learn!

  • How to parent more effectively, from a position of strength and knowledge.
  • How to make parenting easier by focusing their energy on a few specific tasks.
  • Why it's critical to foster attachment with your child, and how doing that ONE thing will help make the rest of your parenting tasks easier.
  • What your kid's love language is, and how to speak that language so you can make the most of your time and energy.
  • How to identify your family values and expectations.
  • About the 'red flags' that could signal concerns about a child's nutrition, sleep, or mental health.
  • How to set limits and consequences that make sense, and aren't a drain on you.
  • Why consistency is crucial, and encouragement (with a plan!) for when things get really tough.

Description

Have you ever wanted to become a better parent, feel like you know what you're doing when you're parenting, or improve your quality of life? You can do all those things!

This beginner-level course teaches you how to develop the necessary framework to your parenting. Instead of reactive parenting (which doesn't often find us at our best), you will be provided a way to become more thoughtful about your parenting. Information is presented to you, and then worksheets are provided to help solidify some of the lessons and make them personal to your family. The middle of the course is best taken one lecture at a time, with a few days in between; the entire course completed this way would be 3-4 weeks long.

The strength and happiness of the relationships you have with the people closest to you have a direct impact on your quality of life. You only get one chance to parent the kid you have today. You will never regret strengthening the relationship you have with your child.

Who Should Attend!

  • Any parent, guardian or caregiver who isn't satisfied with the status quo of their parenting.
  • Parents, guardians and caregivers who are currently struggling to manage a child's behavior.
  • This is designed for 'typical' behavior problems for children between the approximate ages of 2-12.
  • This course may not offer the depth needed to help children with a diagnosed psychiatric disorder.
