Description

Hey! I'm Sebastian. Welcome to ''Learn Music Production at Home from Scratch: Stage IV''.
If you've been following the previous courses you already know me. If you don't I strongly suggest you take a look at those courses first. In those courses we lay the foundations for everything else. You can check some preview lectures on why is that, especially the one titled ''Invisible knowledge''.
With that being said, if you haven't done those courses but are very knowledgeable in DAW usage, human hearing, signals, sequencing, room acoustics, physics, MIDI and other related concepts from that lecture, you're also welcome here.
What we're going to do is take all that we already know and learn about:

  • Drum recording techniques

  • Drum sequencing

  • Electric instrument recording techniques

  • Distortion from the technical standpoint

  • Reamping

  • Stereo recording techniques

  • Vocal recording

  • Rough mixing

  • And a lot (really a lot) of related concepts

In order to check that you're following along you'll be required to perform certain assignments. And finally I'll walk you through the rough mixing of our two projects. This is also a turning point because it requires to start working in your own, professional project, putting in practice everything you've learned so far.

After finishing this course you'll have a decent sounding project, similar to a very good demo or perhaps a bit like a top-quality mix of a live recording. All that's left after that is to start mixing properly, learn a lot of new theoretical concepts such as reverberation, train your ears to equalize better, mastering, and a lot more things that are the objectives in the folllowing courses currently not in Udemy, but hopefully soon enough.

Thanks for your patience in reading this. I just don't want to make a quick buck by promising you impossible things. What I can promise nevertheless is that if you stay with me you'll end up knowing everything you need to become a professional music producer. You'll have all the required knowledge and more, and you will actually see how we go from nothing to a fully mastered professional project. The best of all? We can do everything at home! :)
