Description

Welcome to beginner guitar tablature (TAB) for acoustic guitarists!

In this course, you will unlock the secrets of reading guitar tablature and applying it to your acoustic guitar playing.

Guitar tablature is a powerful tool that not only reveals the timing and note names but also guides you on finger placement across the fretboard. With six lines representing each string on the guitar, you'll gain a comprehensive understanding of this notation system.

We'll dive into the world of guitar tablature by dissecting an acoustic guitar fingerpicking arrangement designed for two guitars. You can choose to play it as a duo with another guitarist or hone your skills by practicing each part separately using the provided tracks. Throughout this journey, you'll also learn about time signatures, note lengths, reading music, and perfecting your finger positioning to flawlessly execute the arrangement.

The instrumental piece we'll be working on is called 'Sharon,' originally composed for my beautiful wife and later transformed into an instrumental track, recorded by my friend Luke Turner, which you can find on Spotify.

Whether you're a beginner or looking to enhance your acoustic guitar skills, this video will equip you with the knowledge and techniques you need to read and play guitar tablature like a pro.

Let's dive in and make beautiful music together!
