The real estate license exam mainly comprises of 2 major sections;
1. National section
2. State section
This course will help you prepare for the National section of the exam as state section is specific to individual states which you want to be licensed in.
WHAT YOU WILL GET IN THIS COURSE
This course is split into multiple practice tests with over 50 questions each in the similar format as the actual test would be. Each practice test is designed to help you prepare for all major topics in real test.
Irrespective of which state you want to be licensed in, there will be lots of emphasis on math related questions. As it's one of the key skill of a real estate sales person, we recommend you to attemp all questions in these test papers to be prepared for all sorts of variations in which a question can be asked in real test.
FORMAT OF THE REAL TEST
National section comprises of about 80 questions covering various topics ranging from common laws, federal laws related to contracts, hazardous materials, banking, math calculations, etc. This section also cover FHA (Federal Housing Administration) related questions.
State section comprises of anywhere between 40 to 60 questions covering key topics such as environment, deeds, title, real estate commissions, etc.
WHAT YOU SHOULD WATCH OUT FOR IN THIS TEST
The real estate exam is designed to test a candidate's reading, comprehension & interpretational abilities as much as overall knowledge about legal facts. So, be prepared to re-read questions and answers until you have a good grasp of the problem before selecting an answer. We recommend not to look at the options of answers before you are confident what the correct answer could be. This is simply to avoid any subconscious bias towards some answers.
WHERE TO FIND MORE INFORMATION ABOUT STATE TEST
US States have their own test developers and slightly different formats. The national section of the exam consists of up to 80 questions while state section consists of anywhere between 40-60 questions. For your state, you need to find out who the test developer is and then go to their online website to learn about the format of their test, fees, test venues and available dates. Most of the test developers offer online test nowadays so you can take the final test remotely.
