Powerful Path to Ending the Daily Battle of the Homework

What You Will Learn!

  • To find a way to encourage their child to do their homework without the tears and frustrations!

Description

Wouldn’t it be amazing if your child(ren) did their homework without it being a daily struggle?

I remember, with my youngest especially, how it would get to bedtime and she would suddenly announce that she had homework she was expected to do – for the next day.

Are you like I was that you are trying to squeeze so many things into an evening, and arguing over homework is an added extra you could do without?

I love all three of my kids to bits, but there were times when they could drive me insane. Especially when it came to doing their homework.

If you feel the same, this course could be for you.

I suppose the thing with three children is that you learn. The first is like a guessing game. The second you are slightly wiser, the third you are exhausted, but far more clued up.

When my oldest daughter was young, she came across as being very clever and astute when you spoke to her, but when you saw her written work, you would think it had been produced by a completely different child. She could spell the same word 2 or 3 different ways on the same page and not notice a difference between any of them.

I asked her school if they agreed that she might be dyslexic. They instantly dismissed dyslexia as an excuse for laziness.

I did not have the confidence to push my point further so I decided to do everything I could to help her myself.

Over the coming years I learned everything I could about different, learning styles and learning difficulties. I completed a degree in childcare and education and worked in numerous educational settings.

In 2012 I started a tutoring business. Everything I had learned up to this point influenced how I presented it. Everything I had learned told me that for learning to be effective it had to be inspiring, motivating, interactive. The child needed to be relaxed, feel confident and enjoy the experience. So those were the foundations I used.

Those were the principles that made us so different from so many other tutors. These experiences and influences were what have led us to be nominated for several national business awards and help numerous children learn both confidence and knowledge in maths, English, and the 11+.

But it was also working as a tutor that inspired many parents to talk to me. To ask questions, to tell me that they were at their wits end trying to get their children to do their homework.

I would offer suggestions from my experience. I would share what other people had said. Ideas would occur to me as I worked with different children.

But it was only recently when I was talking to a childhood friend, that I realised how much people are genuinely struggling with getting their children to do their homework. It’s not a passing conversation, it’s driving people insane. It’s driving people to their wits end.

I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to wake up to this. I apologise. Now I want to share these ideas with more families so that they no longer endure this daily battle. The time spent arguing can once again be spent enjoying each other’s company, respecting each other, getting the homework done!

I’ll show you a range of strategies that you could implement to end this daily battle, once and for all.

In this course you will get access to:

A workbook to jot down thoughts and ideas you get from working through the course.

A planner to help you schedule a good time when homework could be completed.

You can also get in touch and ask for help directly through the Q&A facility. I will promise to always do my best to advise you.

The actual course itself, full of techniques and inspiration to help you put an end to this daily battle. To help you to regain your sanity…

Finally, as an extra free bonus, I’ve included a PDF version of an e-book I wrote a while ago which I think could also be of benefit.

Are you ready for your child to do their homework without it being a daily battle?

Here’s to your success!

Warm wishes

Dawn

PS. Here are a few things people have said about me:

Dawn is a dedicated and hard-working person who is willing to help everybody that comes to her with questions or concerns regarding tutoring. I know this, not merely from the video (which has helped me tremendously with my profile on Outschool), but from interactions with her. Her videos are wonderful and I would recommend that you watch them if you are looking to start a tutoring business like me. Overall, wonderful video!!!!!!

Having worked in education for 16 years as a teacher, lecturer, course tutor and educational consultant working with some customers of major notoriety I met Dawn. I really value the work that Dawn is doing with Clara James Tutoring. She has a unique and creative approach that surpasses any work that any franchise on the market is doing. I am impressed and I know from my experience that this approach will work with a large number of learners. I recommend Clara James Tutoring to others.

These ideas are very creative. They encourage our son and keep him focused. LPG

Dawn was fantastic with my son. She gave him so much confidence with his maths leading to him passing his GCSE’s with flying colours. Very pleased we found her and would recommend her 100% to anyone else.
