This leads on from our first course, "What do we mean by Climate Breakdown?". This course - “What can we do about Climate Breakdown?” - provides a reminder about the causes of climate breakdown and what it means but goes on to explain why we need to take action in our homes and in our everyday lives. Climate breakdown is one of the defining issues of our time and if we do not take action to avoid the consequences, the outcome for our ability to survive on the planet is in question. Through our work in environmental education over the past 20 years, we have realised that few people know much about this subject and that there is a lack of awareness about the urgency of the situation. We need to take action now and this course explains what action is required. We also highlight that the action we can take individually has to be matched by the businesses and organisations we interact with and by relevant changes in government policy.
By the end of the course you will understand how we, as individuals, can make a difference to the serious issue of climate breakdown but that everyone needs to act! We have all contributed to this problem and now need to take steps to resolve it.
