Description

Combination of measures and material and human resources available to protect civil aviation against any act of unlawful interference.


Ensure the safety/security of passengers, crews, ground staff, the general public in all matters related to safeguarding against acts of unlawful interference.


Acts, or attempts, intended to compromise the security of civil aviation including, without this list being exhaustive, the following: unlawful seizure of aircraft,  destruction of an aircraft in service, taking of hostages on board aircraft or in aerodromes, forcible intrusion on board an aircraft, at an airport or on the premises of an aeronautical facility, introduction on board an aircraft or at an airport of weapons or dangerous devices (or substances) for criminal purposes, use of an aircraft in service for the purpose of causing death, serious bodily injury, or serious damage to property or the environment, communication of false information that compromises the safety of an aircraft in flight, or on the ground, or the safety of passengers, crew, ground staff and the public at an airport or on the grounds of a civil aviation facility.
