A flight attendant is a member of an airline's cabin crew who is responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers on board a flight. Flight attendants are trained professionals who provide assistance to passengers during the flight, including helping with boarding and deplaning, performing safety demonstrations, serving food and beverages, and responding to any passenger needs or emergencies that may arise during the flight. In addition to their customer service responsibilities, flight attendants also have a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of passengers during the flight. They are trained to handle a variety of emergency situations, such as medical emergencies, turbulence, or security threats, and are responsible for communicating with the flight deck and coordinating with other crew members as needed. To become a flight attendant, candidates must typically complete a training program that includes both classroom instruction and hands-on experience. This training covers topics such as safety procedures, emergency protocols, customer service, and aircraft operations. After completing training, flight attendants must pass a series of exams and meet other requirements set by the airline and regulatory authorities in order to obtain their certification and begin working as a flight attendant.
