About the Coach: Rustam Sharipov, a two-time Olympic gold medalist representing Ukraine, boasts a storied career in gymnastics. His achievements include a team gold medal with the Unified team in 1992 and gold on the parallel bars, along with a team bronze, representing Ukraine in 1996. Sharipov's illustrious journey also encompassed participation in numerous International and World Championships. Following his retirement from competitive gymnastics in 2000, he transitioned to the United States, embarking on a coaching career that has left an enduring mark on the sport. His coaching stints have included positions at renowned programs such as the Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy in Norman, OK (2000-01), the Houston Gymnastics Academy in Houston, TX (2001-05), an Assistant Coach role at the University of Oklahoma in Norman from 2005-2011, and his current position as the Head Coach at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH since 2011.
