Have you ever wondered how the weather affects flights? Do you want to learn the science behind it? Do you want to be prepared to understand how the weather can affect your flight conditions such as thunderstorm formation and the different cloud types. This is a short but very informative crash course that will give you the basic informations that you need. No prior experience is required.

An introductory course, diving into the world of meteorology and how the principles of meteorology can impact aviation. Covering the basics such as;

-Basic information such as, temperature, wind, pressure etc.

-Visibility and Ceiling

-Air Masses and Fronts

-Wind and Turbulence

-High and Low Pressure Systems

-Cloud Types and Their Formation

-Weather Hazards to Aviation

-Sources of Weather Information

-Changes to Temperature and Pressure with Height and How They Affect Your Flight

Each lecture will cover an important subject for aviation meteorlogy, without lingering too long on any one subject. Lectures are generally 5 - 10 minutes in length. You will also be given the opportunity to test your knowledge throughout the course with interactive quizzes.
