Description

The course consists of two qualification levels: foundation and practitioner, with an examination for each. The purpose of the foundation level is to confirm that you have sufficient knowledge and understanding of the P3O guidance to interact effectively with, or act as an informed member of, an office within a P3O model. The foundation qualification is a pre-requisite for the practitioner qualification. The purpose of the practitioner level is to confirm that you have sufficient knowledge and understanding of the P3O guidance to design, implement, manage or work in any component office within a P3O model.

Professional Development Units (PDUs) 18.

P30 certification is aimed at individuals fulfilling management, functional or generic roles within a portfolio/programme/project support office environment aligned to P3O. Naturally, it also applies to those aiming to establish a new support office environment based on the P3O framework.

Students will be required to complete pre-course reading prior to their attendance to ensure that they are prepared for the course. Students should receive their courseware two weeks prior to the start date of the course. It is therefore encouraged that students read, and familiarize themselves with, the Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices Handbook prior to the start of the course. Whilst attending the course students should also be prepared to complete evening work.

There are no mandatory prerequisites for the foundation examination.

The foundation qualification is a pre-requisite for the practitioner certification.
