Description

In this course you will get a taste of Pluralistic Rabbinical Seminary (PRS). This course was designed by Michael Morgenthau and takes students through the history and ideas embedded within the Israel-Palestine conflict. Themes of Zionism, division, reconciliation and thoughtful debate give students some insight into the complexity of the stakeholders and their issues from a very compassionate and humanitarian perspective.

This course is part of Pluralistic Rabbinical Seminary's Beit Midrash, a free-range learning platform for non-rabbinical students (open to everyone regardless of religious affiliation) to participate in rabbinical-level learning. It is also included in our rabbinical studies program. If you enjoy the course, consider joining us in the bet midrash, or level up and become a rabbinical student (open to Jewish students only).

PRS is the very best in practical, distance learning based rabbinical education. PRS is the only rabbinical school with a distinct focus on helping students launch innovative Jewish projects around the world. By simultaneously incubating future rabbis and future Jewish organizations, we are creating maximum benefit to Jewish life.

PRS is a pioneer in post-denominational rabbinical training. Our Jewish educators and professionals come from a wide variety of countries, careers, and backgrounds. The smicha committee (bet din) at PRS include Reform, Conservative and post-denominational rabbis who act as mentors throughout a student’s education. We're excited to offer this class by Michael Morgenthau and hope it will inspire you to learn more with us.
