Welcome to "How to Paint Boat Landscapes: Watercolor Essentials"! In this course, I'm going to show you how to paint 8 different boat landscapes in watercolour. One of the things I struggled with as a beginner was learning how to loosen up my brushstrokes while preserving a sense of realism.
2 X BONUS: Short workshop with an additional boat scene / Beach scene workshop. These workshops are located at the end of the main course lectures.
This class will help you loosen up as well as go through some essential wet-on-wet watercolour techniques when painting boats, water, reflections and surrounding objects. This class is aimed at beginners to intermediate learners.
We'll be painting a variety of simple boat and water landscapes that will build your confidence in understanding and applying various watercolour techniques and processes. We also go through composition and how to plan your painting, selecting colours and elements for the story you want to tell.
You will need some watercolour paper, watercolour paints consisting of blue, yellow, red and green, a 3/4 inch and number 6 flat brush, and a number 4 round brush.
