If you want to create your own botanical repeating patterns. This class is for you. The idea is to bring your handmade botanical drawings to life intro a pattern.

As I always tell you everyone in life have different ways to approach tasks depend on the abilities or ways to think and learn for that reason, I will teach you different ways to approach a pattern design in illustrator.

  1. We will start this class drawing our own botanical line drawing design. (If you want to go deep in drawing your flowers you can check my Skillshare class [Achieve A Botanical Line Drawing Illustration],

  2. We will take those illustrations and check different ways to Ways to get your artwork into Adobe Illustrator and convert it to a vector.

  3. I will explain different kind of patterns and the way to make your own patterns and the variety of compositions you can make.

  4. At the end we will check how to make a unique color palette to bring life to your pattern

  5. FInally you will learn how to export your pattern for digital or printing purpose.

  6. Assigment Time: You will draw some floral illustrations and make all the process to convert it into a digital illustration and then in Adobe illustrator create a amazing composition that finally will convert in a Pattern Design. The idea is to create a variation of color from the same pattern. Th ebest part is that you can use digital or even print it out.
