Mahamudra is the highest teaching of enlightenment in the lineage of Tantric, Tibetan Buddhism.

"Like the state of space, the mind transcends thought. Set it at ease in its own nature, without rejecting it or maintaining it. When the mind is without objective content, it is Mahamudra. Through familiarisation with that, supreme enlightenment is achieved." - Tilopa

The retreat is an invitation to dive into the experience behind these words with Shai.

This wisdom teaching of the highest truth is supported by "The Six Yogas of Naropa".

These are powerful enlightenment techniques that include meditation of the inner fire. This time Shai will go one step further and teach the continuation techniques as well.

Mahamudra is the state of spiritual liberation.

"The Ganges" was a chant of Tilopa, a poem that contains the secrets of this enlightened state of mind.

Once the initiation into Mahamudra led Naropa to enlightenment, he was followed by Marpa and then Milarepa. Thus a proud lineage of enlightened teachers emerged, and the most powerful teachings of spiritual enlightenment have been passed on – and continues to this day.

It is not enough to simply read the text of the poem.

Before that, the mind must be prepared – through initiation into perhaps the most powerful and direct enlightenment techniques available.

The inner fire meditation, the meditation of the illusory body, the clear light meditation.

And in this vast and blissful state of consciousness, Mahamudra meditation can begin.

Shai is reading the text in such a way that Mahamudra can be experienced. That it becomes alive.
