Starting where Part 1 left off...

Professional Investigator Standards and Ethics

Forget what you have seen on TV, in movies or read in books - Private Investigators are not hiding in dark corners, wearing trench coats, and drinking whiskey in a pile of cigarette butts. This is a profession of integrity, confidentiality, and trust. If you are new to being a Private Investigation - begin here with your learning process. It will guide you for the rest of your career.

Every profession and occupation has Standards and Ethics. As an integral part of our judicial system, and working closely with attorneys who represent parties in civil litigation and criminal defense - or the parties directly - these principles are an investment in this professionalism.

This course, Part 1 and 2, is a guide to understanding of several specific key practices for our profession, and accepted and reasonable standards and practices, and associated ethics, of our profession.

This course is designed for the new and veteran private investigators, including knowing the laws and regulations of investigations, licensing and records in your area. You will be able to develop your own agency practices and ethics to your polices & procedures. You will be more proactive in protecting your agency, your work product, and your client.

Who Should Attend!

  • All new investigators, as well as experienced looking for a refresher. This is not for the expert level investigator.
