This course is designed to help those struggling with anxiety and stress not only identify the root causes of such but go on to improve their lives for the better.
Often, we experience stress and anxiety and play the same story over and over in our mind, catastrophize it and ultimately end up feeling more anxious. As these sensations build up in our body, we feel physiologically tense, can become immobile and develop illnesses.
These feelings are very real, can lead to procrastination, and helplessness and immobilisation.
As you progress through this course, we will go on to describe and teach techniques and practises based on real world experiences that you can do quickly and easily within your own home that aim to change how you think and feel in regard to stress, depression and anxiety.
As you practice these tools you will become better at using them. When stressful thoughts then appear, you will be able to catch them and interrupt the cycle.
By recognizing how you create stress, whether it is learnt or modelled from others or past experiences you will then have the option to choose from a variety of strategies. At certain times you may find that particular tools are more effective than others.
This is not a medical substitute, but for many people recognising how they are repeatedly feeling this way and having a selection of choices can help in pronounced ways.
