Description

This is an unusual business course designed specifically for women. Women have innate business skills that aren't admired because they are not the skills admired in men--yet they are incredibly powerful. Those skills are what I teach: "What They Don't Teach Women in Business School--Seven Keys to Kicking Butt." Women will feel more comfortable doing business in a female way, rather than the masculine way which is taught.  You'll learn the value of never taking "No" for an answer; how to master resiliency; that experts are often wrong; how to avoid naysayers who tell you your ideas won't work; how to scout ideas for a business; why it's smart to do the "Side Hustle:" starting your business at home till you earn enough to quite your job; etc. You'll also be given lists of resources:  great books to underscore the teachings of this course and lists of women's business organizations that will help you on your journey. For example, I was just a candlemaker out in the woods of northern Minnesota when I read about a woman's business group called the National Association of Women Business Owners in Minneapolis, which was having a weekend training called "Business Leadership Training." I lived 200 miles to the north, but I drove there for the weekend. I learned so much that it would have taken me years to learn, and I made a network of friends who are still in touch and give advice 40 years later. What I learned from NAWBO propelled me from a business starting in the basement to selling to 6,000 stores!
